HeartFire

my spirit felt it first, gently stirring, like a soft summer breeze
my mind, like my body, could not feel it, would have passed it by
then my heart felt your presence, and wept with quiet joy

though I do not know you, have never touched your face
the memory lives within my soul, and even from this distance
rejoices, having found a love once lost

another time, another place, it matters not
passions long forgotten, feelings dulled by time,
now rekindled, heartfire blazing sun-bright

Rosebud, precious angel, thank you for the inspiration for this page, and the pages yet to come.
