PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION THOROUGHLY !
If you're viewing this message, it's probably because of one of the following reasons:
A. Firewall/browser may be misconfigured (not be passing referring URL). If you have configured your firewall or browser to NOT send the referring URL to webservers (websites) when requesting webpages (it's an option available in many firewalls and some browsers), then you'll have trouble visiting large parts of this website (if you see a big blue box at the top of this webpage with a message about your firewall/browser being mis-configured, then this is likely the problem). The security measures we implement to prevent abuse of this website includes rejecting attempts to access graphics, scripts, and other webpage elements from locations external to our server. The referring page information is needed to be passed to the server from your browser so that the server can determine that your access is via a legitimate webpage located within our website. You will need to enable referrer information by turning off the referrer blocking option in your firewall's configuration settings. Hint: check for the settings under 'settings' or 'preferences' or 'security options' or 'privacy options' or something similar, as appropriate for your particular firewall. Firewall Hints: • some firewalls use wording such as: Deny Servers to Trace Web-Browsing If this is the case with your firewall, you will need to UN-check that option to enable passing referrer information. • some firewalls use wording such as: Block "Foreign" Cookies If this is the case with your firewall, you will need to UN-check that option to enable cookies to be set. Firefox Hints: If you are using a browser such as Firefox, there is a configuration setting which also controls whether the http-referer header is sent to the webserver or not. You will need to enable the referer option in your browser's settings/preferences options. For Firefox users, simply use the "about:config" interface (type about:config in the URL bar). Then scroll down until you find the item "network.http.sendRefererHeader", double-click that item, and a pop-up dialog box will enable you to change the value/setting. It needs to be set to "2" (this is the normal default setting); then click the OK button to accept the change. For other browsers, please refer to your browser's documentation. If you are using some type of web proxie which prevents your browser from sending the referer header, you will need to turn that feature off, as it prevents our server from identifying that the source of the webpage data is originating on our server. Your security or proxy software may tell you it's protecting you, but unfortunately, it has quite the opposite effect, as it prevents the server from verifying the information being exchanged between the server and your browser has originated from our server. If your firewall has no option for setting/configuration of this feature, and if you've determined that it is the cause of the problem, refer to item C below for additional information. (To test whether your firewall/browser is configured correctly for providing referer information, click here.) B. Spyware possibly detected on your computer. You may have installed a browser spyware/adware/spamware/browser-hijacker program from a company called FunWebProducts. This program is *BANNED* from surfing our website. FunWebProducts are directly affiliated with adware/spammer iwon.com and also operate under the guise of a "freebie" website called smileycentral.com. Be warned that their browser add-on program has modified your browser user-agent settings WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION or KNOWLEDGE. We suggest you remove their spyware/adware/spammer-ware program from your computer, as your access to this website will be denied as long as you continue to use such adware/spyware/spamware software. (To test whether your browser has been hijacked by FunWebProducts spyware/adware, click here.) If you want further information about the adware/spyware operations behind FunWebProducts, simply look for information about them using google or other search engines. Here's a few example links to get you started: C. Possibly using a non-RFC-compliant browser. If you're using a browser which does NOT adhere to internet RFC standards, then your browser will not properly transmit the referring URL header to our webserver. Our webserver has been configured for security and the prevention of abuse by thieves, hackers, and other miscreants, and as such it requires this industry-standard communication be properly transmitted from visitors' browsers. In order to properly view this website you will need to use a browser which conforms to appropriate RFC technical specifications. (To test whether your browser is configured correctly for providing referer information, click here.) D. External site link using embedded frameset. We implement a number of procedures to protect this website against abuse by robots/search engines, spammers, hackers, and other assorted bandwidth thieves. If you are connecting to this website from within a frameset on some external site (such as 'ask jeeves', 'google', etc.), then you will see this page when you attempt to access one of our controlled areas, resources, or webpages. If you did NOT see our website's URL in the navigation location area of your browser window on the page you were trying to visit on this website, then it means the site you came from (such as 'yahoo search') has embedded our website's URL within a frameset on their site - thereby 'trapping' you on their site instead of enabling your browser to link freely to our page(s). To break out of that site's frameset, from their webpage which referred you to this website, click your right mouse button on the URL link on their webpage, and select "browse to .." from the popup mousemenu. That will break you out of their frameset trap, and will then load our webpage into your browser properly. (To break free of any frameset you may currently be locked in, and go directly to our homepage click here. E. Attempted direct access to portions of this site. You may have tried directly connecting to an area of the website that needs to be accessed from within the website. For example, you may have bookmarked certain "programs/scripts" on this website, instead of bookmarking the main webpage those programs are located on. Do NOT bookmark non-html webpages on this website. for instance, any URL which ends in .html or .shtml is fine to bookmark; any URL ending with .cgi, .pl, or .php should NOT be bookmarked. F. Illegal access to our resources from external site. You may have tried to access an image, graphic, or other non-html resource from some external source, and not from a webpage on this website:
G. System possibly thinks you are a spider or search engine. Certain areas of the website are off-limits to robots, spiders, and search-engines. If the server thinks you are some type of robot or search-engine, then your attempt to access any of those areas will be blocked and you will be presented with this web page. H. Possible attempted access to off-limits content. You've tried accessing an area of the website that is off-limits. Simply don't do that and you won't see this screen again. I. Possible mis-configured proxy/assistant. You may be using some kind of proxy or download assistant software. We block that kind of access to many areas of this website to prevent automated pilfering of our resources by hackers, spammers, and other network abusers. J. Access denied to specific providers/hosts/countries. We've completely banned access to this website from several parts of the world, for various reasons, and perhaps you are connecting from one of those areas. (such as parts of: Pakistan, Brazil, Taiwan, Iraq, Korea, India, Hong Kong, China, Poland, Nigeria, Italy, Thailand, Iran, and other areas known to be havens for hackers, spammers, and other network abusers.) K. Your IP address is on our prohibited access list. The server may have placed your IP address on a prohibited access list. Your IP could have been placed on the restricted list for a number of possible reasons:
L. Possible affiliation with known spammer/hacker ISPs. If you get your internet connectivity directly from one of the Internet Service Providers that are known to be spammer-tolerant, spammer-friendly, spammer-supporting, spammer-protective, or who provide service directly to spammers, your access will be denied. The logs are reviewed daily, and if it appears that your IP has been locked out in error, it will be removed from the list and you will be able to access the site once again.
